Smash Repairs? What Are Those?

The term smash repair is actually a metaphor that gets its name from the fact that the process is designed to restore the smashed front end on a vehicle. Usually, such damage is caused by a crash or collision. The process is more properly known as panel beating because it uses a process that uses steel hammers to slowly beat on the damaged portions of each panel to restore them to their original shape. While a normal auto mechanic can fix minor dings and scratches, major front-end damage should only be handled by a professional panel beater.
